　The automobile braking system is a series of special devices which exert certain force on some parts of the automobile (mainly the wheels) and then force them to a certain extent. The function of the braking system is to make the driving car decelerate or stop forcibly according to the driver's requirements; to make the parked car stop steadily under various road conditions, including on the ramp; and to keep the speed of the downhill vehicle stable.
